Bumpkin heads up the street wrestlers. While his fellow fighters--ever so cool and representative of who and what is considered "in"---got their bruises under the city street lights, he got his on unlit dirt roads in the countryside. The chip on his shoulder is really just an inferiority complex. When his group of street fighters merges with the Entertainment Fighters Organization, he works hard to bring everyone together. Under the glare of the ring, however, he can't carry off the image he wants to project. Losing the battle within, he walks away from the security of fighting with a major organization, and follows in the footsteps of Genie Jr., joining a death-match organization. He goes on to establish a new style of hardcore air-fighting and becomes a popular star.
